Lakefront X
Robotics and Engineering for the Next Generation
Engaging Youth in STEM Exploration Lego Robotics
Lego Robotics introduces young people to STEM education and exploration from an early stage. Progressing through the Discover, Explore, and Challenge stages, participants gain foundational knowledge in STEM fields and put their skills to the test in engaging competitions. Through this journey, students cultivate habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork.
Emma from TK, Creekside Charter School is conducting robot testing sessions for students in grades 4 through 8.
In addition to engaging in robotics, coding, and design tasks, students must also conduct weekly research related to their chosen concentration area and deliver presentations to the team. Each team member will gain more in-depth experience in one of the following areas:

-
Project Management: Overseeing project planning, defining project scope, managing time effectively, and mitigating risks.
-
Design Engineering & Innovation: Guiding the design and innovation processes.
-
Business and Communication: Manage internal and external communication.
-
Accounting and Finance: Facilitating donation efforts for future competitions and materials, managing fundraising initiatives, and overseeing accounting matters.

Additionally, students will grasp the fundamentals of machine learning and gain a basic understanding of its application in their future robotic projects.
